Sports Hall

The new sports hall provides four badminton courts, one tennis court and cricket nets.  The building also includes changing facilities, a theory classroom, refurbished squash courts and a departmental office.

Its location next to the dining hall and close to the heart of the village made the project a design challenge for all concerned.  However through careful detailing of the main elevations, a reduced end bay for junior sports and the inclusion of stone and a clerestory window, the building sits comfortably within the conservation area.

The project was procured through a design and build contract with squires and brown being novated to the main contractor after planning approval was secured.
