Merged Prep School Masterplan

In September 2007 The Downs announced its merger with Malvern College prep.  Throughout the negotiations, squiresandbrown advised the two schools on the feasibility of a single campus at The Downs.  We reported on the condition of the existing buildings and identified areas for refurbishment and new development.  This work led to a £6m project, delivered by our team of consultants who included ecologists, arboriculturalists, highways and acoustics engineers.

We have designed four main buildings within the new campus, three of which were operational within fourteen months of our appointment.  The largest project was a new £2m sports hall, changing facility and senior classroom block.  Other projects include a boarding house refurbishment, junior classrooms and a new Astro turf pitch.
